Selling your car can feel like one more job on an already messy departure list.
Flights. Movers. School notices. Work handovers. Lease agreements. Utilities. Somewhere in the middle of all that, the car still needs to be sold properly.
That is where XpatMotor helps.
We are built by expats, for expats, so we understand how quickly timelines can tighten when you are leaving Singapore or changing plans. We help you work through the sale, understand what needs to happen, and move things forward without adding another admin headache.
You bring us the car situation. We help you sort the next step.

Selling a car in Singapore is not always as simple as finding a buyer.
There may be remaining COE value to consider, loan settlement to manage, documents to prepare, ownership transfer steps to follow and timing pressure before you leave.
And if you wait too long, your options can shrink.
A rushed sale can mean accepting the easiest route, rather than the best one for your situation. XpatMotor helps you avoid that last-minute scramble by guiding the process early and clearly.

You do not need to figure out every step of the selling process by yourself.
XpatMotor helps you plan the sale around your car, your timeline and your next move. We can help you understand what needs to happen, what to prepare and which route is likely to suit your situation.
That may include:
You stay involved in the decisions. We help carry out the process.

Private sale, dealer sale and export can all make sense in different situations.
The right route depends on your car, timing, outstanding loan position, remaining COE value and how quickly you need everything settled.
XpatMotor helps you work through those options without turning the sale into a full-time job. We keep the process practical, explain what matters and help you move towards a cleaner handover.
No panic sale. No guessing. Just a clearer way to get the car sorted.

There are three common options: sell privately, sell to a dealer, or export the car if the rebate value and vehicle condition make it worthwhile. XpatMotor can help you work out which route suits your timing and situation.
When ownership is transferred, the remaining COE value is usually reflected in the car’s market value. If the car is scrapped, there may also be COE and PARF rebates, depending on the car and its remaining validity.
A private sale may take 2 to 8 weeks, depending on market conditions and pricing. A dealer or consignment route may be faster, often around 1 to 4 weeks. Once agreed, ownership transfer is usually handled through LTA’s OneMotoring portal.
You may need vehicle registration details, valid road tax, seller identification such as a passport and an Employment Pass, a loan settlement letter if there is an outstanding loan, and a sale and purchase agreement.
Yes. This can be a good outcome when the buyer wants a known, well-maintained car and the seller wants a fair sale without unnecessary margin being taken out of the deal. XpatMotor can help facilitate expat-to-expat transactions where suitable.
